Angel Canino is coming home with a bronze medal around her neck and more.

That’s because the Alas Pilipinas Women ace was hailed Best Outside Spiker in the first leg of the 5th Southeast Asian Volleyball League (SEA V.League), which concluded Sunday in Thailand.

Canino’s feat came just almost two months since receiving the Best Outside Hitter in the AVC Nations Cup, where the Philippines wound up with silver.

This time, Canino and Alas settled for the bronze medal, which they clinched following a 25-20, 25-20, 16-25, 25-13 win over Indonesia.

The former UAAP Rookie-MVP tallied five of Alas' last six points in the fourth set where the Filipinas simply dominated their ASEAN neighbor.

Since debuting to the senior team, this is Canino's third international award after also winning Best Opposite Hitter in the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup.
