Owa Retamar and Jade Disquitado aim to close out the 5th SEA V.League on a high note as Alas Pilipinas face Indonesia on Sunday, July 13, at the Candon City Arena.

With their gold medal hopes no longer in their hands, Alas Pilipinas will be gunning for a straight-sets win to stay in contention for the top podium finish—depending on the result of the Thailand-Cambodia match earlier in the day.

The Filipinos need Cambodia to push Thailand to five sets or pull off an upset to keep the door open for gold.

Regardless of the outcome, Retamar, who returned to orchestrate the offense after missing the team’s first two games, is eager to lead Alas to a strong tournament finish.

Disquitado, meanwhile, will look to build on his 24-point explosion against Cambodia, while scoring leader Leo Ordiales continues his push for individual recognition.

Indonesia will not make it easy.

Led by Arnez Arabi Boy, the Indonesians are also chasing a better spot on the podium and are hungry to end their campaign with an upset of the home team.

A win on Sunday would secure Alas Pilipinas their best-ever finish in the Men’s SEA V.League, marking another milestone in the national team’s growing momentum.
