Brooke Van Sickle and Maddie Madayag headline a retooled Alas Pilipinas roster for the 2025 VTV Cup in Vinh Phuc, Vietnam.
Alas Pilipinas are set to return to international action with a retooled, but star-studded lineup led by Brooke Van Sickle and Maddie Madayag for the 2025 VTV Cup in Vinh Phuc, Vietnam.
The national team, as confirmed by head coach Jorge de Brito, will feature a deep rotation of battle-tested veterans and first timers as they continue to build following a historic silver-medal finish in the 2025 AVC Women’s Volleyball Nations Cup earlier this month.
PVL MVP Brooke Van Sickle will finally make her Alas Pilipinas debut as she headlines the pool of spikers alongside Eya Laure, Vanie Gandler, Leila Cruz, and Alleiah Malaluan.

Team captain Jia de Guzman will be back to orchestrate the offense and will be complemented by a strong trio of playmakers in Tia Andaya, Lams Lamina, and Mars Alba.
On defense, Alas Pilipinas will be anchored by trusted liberos Justine Jazareno and Dawn Catindig, whose presence brings both stability and experience in the back row.
Not part of the roster from the previous AVC Nations Cup run are Angel Canino, Alyssa Solomon, Bella Belen, Shaina Nitura, Julia Coronel, Cla Loresco, and Jen Nierva.
From the current 17 players on the roster, De Brito is expected to trim this down to a Final 14.
This upcoming tournament marks another step in the program’s push for international consistency ahead of the 2025 Southeast Asian Games.
