Alas Pilipinas Men have arrived in New York for the “Serve-Spike, Unite!” exhibition match, kicking off a busy four-month stretch that includes the AVC Men’s Nations Cup in June and the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship in September.
As part of their visit, the team paid a courtesy call to the Philippine Consulate in New York, where Consul General Senen Mangalile lauded the squad for inspiring the global Filipino community.
The Philippine men’s national volleyball team will take on the Fil-Am Nation Select on Sunday, June 1, at the Saint Francis Preparatory School Gym in Queens.
Likewise, Alas Pilipinas will also conduct a volleyball clinic and host a meet-and-greet session with members of the local Filipino community to further engage with fans abroad.

After wrapping up their U.S. trip, the team will return to the country to compete in the Alas Pilipinas Invitationals, a three-day pocket tournament slated for June 10 to 12 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Joining them in the tournament are Korean V-League champions Hyundai Capital Skywalkers, Indonesia Proliga titlists Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi VC, and the Thailand men’s national team.
Alas Pilipinas will then fly to Manama, Bahrain, for the AVC Men’s Nations Cup, scheduled from June 17 to 24, as they ramp up their preparations for the world stage.
