The Philippines is set to host a historic volleyball spectacle as the 2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship brings world-class action to the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay and Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.

Alas Pilipinas is primed to make waves in Pool A as they face off against Tunisia, Egypt, and Iran in the group stage.

A High-Stakes Opener Against Tunisia

Alas Men will kick off their campaign on September 12, 2025, against the 24th-ranked Tunisia at 7:00 PM. 

Tunisia, a formidable African squad with years of international experience, promises to provide a stern test for the home team. 

Backed by a raucous local crowd, the Filipino spikers aim to leverage their home-court advantage and start their journey on a winning note.

Egypt on the Horizon

After a four-day break, Alas Pilipinas returns to the court on September 16, 2025, for a 5:30 PM showdown against the 20th-ranked Egypt. 

Known for their aggressive net play and strong serving, Egypt will challenge the Alas Men’s defensive resilience. 

The matchup could prove pivotal in shaping the team’s chances of advancing to the next round.

The Final Pool Challenge: Iran

Alas Men wrap up their Pool A journey on September 18, 2025, at 5:30 PM, taking on Iran, one of Asia’s top volleyball powerhouses.

With their trademark combination of speed and precision, 15th-ranked Iran will test the Philippines' mettle in what could be a decisive game for both teams.

Alas Men will look to make their mark in international volleyball led by the likes of Bryan Bagunas, Kim Malabunga, Michaelo Buddin, and Jade Disquitado.

The national team, under the guidance of their experienced coaching staff led by Italian coach Angiolino Frigoni, will continue its preparations for the historic event in Manila.
