Alas Men hope to avoid a winless campaign when they face Vietnam in their final game tomorrow.
The search for the elusive win continues for Alas Pilipinas in Leg 2 of the SEA V.League.
Alas Men suffered another tough setback, this time falling to Leg 1 champion Thailand, 18-25, 21-25, 19-25 at the UNY Sport Complex in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on Saturday, August 24.
Alas Pilipinas stood toe-to-toe early in the third and final set but eventually ran out of steam down the stretch for a second successive loss in the four-nation tournament.
After dropping the opening set, Alas Men showed promise after launching a 5-0 run to turn a 18-13 deficit into a 18-deadlock in the second, only for Thailand to pull away late to take a commanding 2-0 set lead.
Earlier, Alas Pilipinas dropped their opening assignment against Indonesia.
The national now aim for a repeat win against Vietnam in their final match tomorrow, August 25, at 5:00 p.m.
