Jema Galanza and Cherry Nunag will suit up for Alas Pilipinas for the first time since the FIVB Women’s Volleyball Challenger Cup last July.
Two sweet aces are set to make their splash anew for Alas Pilipinas.
Creamline’s Jema Galanza and Choco Mucho’s Cherry Nunag now join the final Alas Women roster for Leg 2 of the 2024 SEA V.League in Thailand, replacing Vanie Gandler and Dell Palomta.
Back in Leg 1, both Galanza and Nunag were relegated to the reserve list in favor of the two that saw the women’s national volleyball team take home the bronze medal after dismissing Indonesia in four sets.

The win propelled the Filipina volleybelles to their first tournament podium finish since the inaugural legs of the four-team meet in 2019, when it was still called the ASEAN Grand Prix.
Still present in the squad are team captain and Leg 1 best setter Jia de Guzman and best middle blocker Thea Gagate alongside Dawn Macandili-Catindig, Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon, Sisi Rondina, Jen Nierva, Faith Nisperos, Fifi Sharma, Eya Laure, and Julia Coronel.

Alas Pilipinas aim to sustain their opening-leg success against Thailand later at 7:00 p.m. (PH Time) before locking horns with Vietnam and Indonesia.
