The much-anticipated semifinals round of the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference is upon us.

With Petro Gazz, Choco Mucho, Chery Tiggo, and Creamline as the final four teams left in the heated battle for the coveted championship, the round-robin format guarantees that each contender will face every other team, promising a fierce and unpredictable competition.

The stakes are higher than ever, and each match could be a game-changer.

Make sure you don't miss a single moment—check out the schedule for the upcoming clashes as the PVL shifts into playoff mode.

Talk about starting off with a bang.

Creamline and Choco Mucho are set to face off for the second time in less than two weeks.

Despite being the no. 4 seed, the Cool Smashers enter the match as the heavy favorites, boasting an undefeated record against their sister team, having won all 12 encounters since the Flying Titans joined the league in 2019.

But this winning streak faces a serious threat as Choco Mucho aims to capitalize on a Creamline side missing Tots Carlos, who is among the hopefuls participating in the 2024 Korean V-League (KOVO) Women's Asian Quota Tryouts in Jeju Island from April 29 to May 1.

The Flying Titans will also likely remain without one of their top scorers, Kat Tolentino, as she continues to recover from an auditory condition.

Despite the challenges on both sides, this rematch is a must watch as Choco Mucho looks to end the dry spell and Creamline seeks to maintain its dominance.

Chery Tiggo is barreling into the postseason at full speed.

After leaving a trail of seven consecutive victories at the end of the preliminaries, the Crossovers aim to keep the momentum going and push through to the championship series.

Yet, achieving that goal may prove more challenging than it already is.

After all, Chery Tiggo is taking on another streaking team in Petro Gazz, which is riding high on a five-game winning run.

Though the Crossovers defeated the Angels during the elimination round, it was a grueling five-set match. This time, Petro Gazz has MJ Phillips back in action, exempted from the KOVO tryouts, making them even stronger.

The Kungfu Reyes-backed squad will also miss the services of former league MVP Mylene Paat for at least a game or two as she tries her luck in the same tryouts.

And don’t forget, the Angels have the Filipina-American sensation, Brooke Van Sickle.

Will Petro Gazz give Chery Tiggo a dose of its own streak-busting medicine, or will the Crossovers continue running through the competition?

May 2 – PhilSports Arena, Pasig

Creamline Cool Smashers vs. Petro Gazz Angels – 4:00 p.m.

The last time Creamline and Petro Gazz clashed, Van Sickle dropped a career-high 29 points, propelling the Angels to a five-set victory.

While the Cool Smashers definitely have payback in mind, that would be a difficult thing to do. As mentioned earlier, Phillips has returned, and Carlos might also miss the second semifinal playdate.

Creamline is as vulnerable as ever, and Petro Gazz appears to have all the tools to frustrate the defending champions once again.

Choco Mucho is the only semifinalist that Chery Tiggo couldn't defeat during the preliminaries.

Despite pulling off victories over the Cool Smashers and the Angels, the Crossovers could not crack the code against Flying Titans.

However, both teams will face off without one of their key contributors.

For Choco Mucho, Kat Tolentino might not play due to an auditory condition, while Chery Tiggo could be without Mylene Paat, as the game comes just a day after the KOVO tryouts.

Even with these setbacks, both squads still have ample firepower to deliver a thrilling showdown.

Creamline is set to collide with the culprit that ended its remarkable 19-game winning streak — Chery Tiggo.

On a fateful encounter in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, the Crossovers dealt the Cool Smashers a straight-set stunner, proving that even the best can be brought down.

Out of Creamline’s three defeats in this season-opening conference, this was by far the most decisive. Fans are left wondering — will Chery Tiggo prove that its victory was no mere fluke, or will Creamline gain a measure of revenge?

Petro Gazz Angels vs. Choco Mucho Flying Titans – 6:00 p.m.

In the week's final match, Sisi Rondina and Brooke Van Sickle will go head-to-head with high stakes on the line.

Both players are strong contenders for the MVP award, and their scoring prowess will be crucial in guiding their teams to a pivotal victory.

In their previous encounter, Choco Mucho edged out Petro Gazz in a thrilling five-set battle. However, in this rematch, the Angels, now at full strength, are poised to capitalize on the injury-plagued Flying Titans.
